Counter-Terrorism Security Reviews (CTSR)

An HMS Counter-Terrorism Security Review will provide a systematically researched and expertly analysed study of an organization's exposure to acts of terrorism. It is founded on a realistic assessment of the prevailing or emerging threat and a view of the organization's current vulnerabilities and preparedness to meet that threat. It will explore those attributes of business which contribute to the safety, security and risk management activities of the enterprise.

A CTSR will include:

  • An adversarial analysis of the business activities, premises, facilities and processes
  • An assessment of the risk to staff, visitors and customers
  • An examination of the vulnerability of utilities and key supplies
  • A detailed scrutiny of existing and planned security measures
  • An exploration of links with emergency and security organizations
  • An appraisal of the communications system, infrastructure and decision processes necessary in the face of terrorist threats and attacks
  • An audit of the protocols and procedures employed by risk and security functions
  • A perspective on staff awareness of the threat, applicable training needs, and employee confidence in the corporate ability to manage terrorist activity

The review is a comprehensive report with cardinal and supporting recommendations detailing next steps and further work. Recommendations are based strictly on practical, cost-effective and efficient solutions. Reports may be accepted by insurance underwriters as evidence of corporate risk-reduction effort.
